Major Redesigns 2024

A masterplan for the historic Baton Rouge Country Club, whose Tom Bendelow routing has made clever use of a tight site since the 1920s.

The original 9-hole course at Baton Rouge Country Club was designed by Bernard "Scotty" Sinclair Robson in 1916, but it was Tom Bendelow's changes made in the 1920s that expanded the course to 18 holes and created the layout we know today. Bendelow was one of the most prolific architects of all time and would go on to design as many as 800 courses across the United States.

Bendelow's changes to the routing make good use of the terrain and he did an excellent job of squeezing 18 holes onto what, even 100 years ago, would have been considered a small site. OCM commenced a Masterplan for the course in 2024.
