Major Redesigns 2020

A staged redevelopment of a tightly packed, steeply sloped Gippsland course, with a new short-game area, 11th and 18th already built.

After a few different homes, the current plot of land was purchased in the 1920s and the course was laid out by Syd Bennett in 1926, incidentally the same year that Mackenzie came to Australia. The current property is tightly packed on just over 100 acres, especially once water storage, the maintenance facility and clubhouse zone are taken into account. The site is steeply sloped, especially on the current front nine, and this has historically made for challenges with construction, playability and walkability.

OCM completed a Masterplan in 2020 and work is being completed as a staged redevelopment. In 2023 a new short game area and 11th hole were developed, and in 2024 the new 18th hole was constructed. Further works are planned in 2026.
